Ever wondered what is a Salesforce Community Group?

It’s basically group of people who meet at least 4 times per year to talk about everything that is Salesforce related. Those groups exist almost everywhere in the world and it’s a community of customers ready to help you succeed. I feel like it’s important to talk about the Salesforce community groups because being a part of one helped me grow in the Salesforce ecosystem. So I thought everyone beginning their journey should know the importance of Trailblazer community groups.

Why Join a Salesforce Community Group?

Meeting new people

You will meet alot of people from different backgrounds.. but there’s one thing in common .. they’re all really helpful. Expanding your network will help you professionally and socially. You can always turn to those people to ask for help.

Knowledge exchange

In addition to the great networking opportunities that those groups offer, you also get to sharpen your Salesforce skills. There are professional speakers who contribute in the meetings by giving sessions about Salesforce related products or by doing demos.. And this is a great way to learn and boost your skills

Talking from my personal experience, I was facing some tough career decisions and after seeking guidance from the members in my local community group, I landed my first Salesforce fulltime job! So yeah community groups are awesome!

How to Join?

Super easy! You just have to sign up on Trailblazer Community Groups , search with your city or country name to find the community group nearest to you.

They come in all shapes

Community groups come in different shapes, whether it’s a Role based group (ex: Admin, Developer), Industry based (ex: Nonprofit, Healthcare) or even a group supporting a cause like Equality or Women in Tech. The meetings can be in person or virtual. Due to covid-19 all the meetings are currently virtual so you have a wide variety of meetings to attend to, from all over the world.

What if I can’t find a Community Group in my City?

Start one! If you have what it takes to be a Community group leader apply to be one. some of the rules include the following:

• You are active in the Salesforce ecosystem.
• You’ve checked to make sure the Community Group you’d like to start doesn’t already exist.
• You reside or work in the location of your proposed Trailblazer Community Group.
